The NECCI PR Roundtable Is Scheduled For October 27.

Experts are expected to give solutions to the African continent’s developmental conundrums as part of efforts to announce the formation of a movement for change, as well as a new narrative to overcome the negative voices that have clouded the continent for decades.

This will be the topic of the NECCI Public Relations Roundtable, which is set to take place on October 27 and 28, 2022, at the Eko Hotel & Suites on Victoria Island in Lagos.

The discussion, with the theme “The Danger of the Single Story: Communication and Reputational Crisis in Africa,” will examine and examine the power of balanced stories in altering the narrative of Africa, according to the organizers.

As one familiar with the history and reputation of Africa, NECCI’s founder and convener, Mrs. Nkechi Ali-Balogun, believes, “we can help find a more structured and definitive way to tell our stories, which could herald the emergence of a movement for change as well as a new narrative to overcome the negative voices that have overshadowed the continent for decades.

“We think that Africa needs to tell her tales and tell them well since it is the next global frontier. We must support this new initiative to remake our continent and dispel the myth that it is “a site of calamity” in general for Africa and Nigeria in particular.

The chairman of Access Bank Plc, Dere Awosika, will deliver the keynote address. A number of other speakers will be featured, including Dr. David Mrisho from Tanzania and Mpumelelo Zondi from South Africa. The expert panel will be conducted by Mr. Bolaji Okusaga, Managing Director of Precise.
