Less that three months after elections,Martha Karua says she is yet to recognize President William Ruto as the duly elected Head of State.
Karua, who vied as Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s running mate in the August 2022 polls, confirmed her standpoint during an interview with Ian Wafula of the BBC.
She said: “The law recognizes him (Ruto). But not me.”
Martha went on asserting that the results were rigged and that someday the truth will be brought to light.
“The results were on our favour. It was flipped at the Bomas and the court upheld it.We respect the court’s decision but we disagree with it.I personally do not agree with the verdict. The 7 judges know why they did that and one day we shall know that because the truth will always surface,”She said.
