Simba Arati Reveals Reason For High Political Tension in Kisii

Kisii Governor, Simba Arati has attributed the latest political heat in his region to his stand against corruption. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday 16, January 2023, the Governor alleged that certain politicians in his county are steering mayhem for being locked out of lucrative county tenders.

He said:

“There some people who wanted to be paid for supplying nothing. So my wrangles have been caused by my purge against corruption…any leader making noise in Kisii is either the one have denied a tender contract or I have refused to pay the money they are claiming for supplying nothing.”

Accusing South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro of sponsoring chaos in his meetings, he however, made it sky clear that he holds no grudge against Osoro despite alleging that Osoro is the enemy of progress to his development agendas for the people of Kisii.

On the same note, he said Osoro is not working single-handedly but like a remote, being switched by some political leaders whom he did not mention.

“I don’t believe there is any difference between the two of us. But I believe Osoro is being used by some political figures in some way.”
