Samsung Electronics East Africa to Showcase Smart Home Living at Kenya-Korea Partnership Week, 2024

Samsung Electronics East Africa Limited has announced its participation in the Kenya-Korea Partnership Week, scheduled to take place between October 1st and 2nd, 2024, at JW Marriott, Westlands, Nairobi.

The event that will feature several leading Korean companies, mainly aims at showcasing the strong economic ties between Korea and Kenya, with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and shared growth.

During the event, Samsung will present an impressive lineup of cutting-edge consumer electronics under the theme ‘Why Samsung.’

This showcase will demonstrate how Samsung’s innovative technology is driving the future of smart home living, bringing the latest advancements in home entertainment and household appliances to Kenyan consumers.

“This partnership week represents a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the Kenya-Korea relationship, showcasing technological advancements that not only enhance people’s lives but also contribute to economic growth,” asserted Rahul Kochhar, Business Head, Consumer Electronics Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa.

He further highlighted the significance of the Kenya Korea Partnership Week for fostering economic development, stating, “at Samsung, we are committed to providing Kenyans with innovative products that simplify their lives, increase productivity, and offer a glimpse into the future of smart home living.”

Speaking about the Kenya’s readily available market for Samsung products through its population, Sam Odhiambo, Head of Consumer Electronics Business in Kenya, Samsung East Africa, added: “Our focus is on delivering innovations that align with the aspirations of the Kenyan people, and this event allows us to connect directly with local business leaders, forging partnerships that will drive further technological adoption across the country.”

The Kenya-Korea partnership has been pivotal in driving digital transformation and infrastructural development in Kenya, with Samsung leading the way through investments in ICT and consumer technology. The bilateral ties have seen increased collaboration, particularly in areas such as smart cities and digital economy initiatives aimed at creating jobs and improving living standards in Kenya.

As a result, bilateral partnership of this year aims to bring together businesses from both nations to explore areas of collaboration that will spur growth, employment, and technological advancements. At the event, Samsung Electronics East Africa will engage with Kenyan business leaders, SMEs, and entrepreneurs, reaffirming its commitment to driving innovation and enhancing the consumer experience in the region.

Key products on display will include the 2024 Neo QLED 98-inch TVs, the 47-inch Odyssey monitors, Samsung washing machines, and microwave ovens. These products are designed to enhance the modern home, offering both efficiency and immersive experiences that meet the evolving needs of Kenyan households
