Ruger Alleged To Have Delivered A Substandard Performance In Meru

Popular ‘girlfriend’ hit maker has been alleged to have made a below the bare minimum performance during his much anticipated live concert at the Kinoru Stadium in Meru town on Saturday night.

For the reported KSh3.6 million he collected as performance fees, Nigerian star Ruger who was the main headline of the concert, turned out to be what was termed as the night’s major disappointment.

The crowd which had campus students as the majority had looked forward to some mind-blowing performances from the lineup that included Sol Generation duo Bensoul and Nviiri The Story Teller, rapper Femi One and a host of local deejays. To their disappointment, only Sol Generation duo did beyond expectation.

The man of the hour,Ruger, took to the stage at 1.15am,most definitely the moment every attendee was waiting for.Ruger had been allocated a performance time of one and a half hours but it lasted only 38 minutes.

He failed to establish a connection with the crowd as his set also lacked energy from the minute he got onto the stage despite the warm applause by the crowd after which he started by his unpopular songs that only got the show boring.Of all the songs he is known for in Kenya, Ruger performed only “Bounce”, “Dior” and “Girlfriend”.He then left the stage most probably after noticing the crowd was not as excited as expected.
