Rigathi Gachagua Dismisses Raila And Ruto Coalition

Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he is not afraid of the Ruto and Raila coalition.

Earlier this week, President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga met in Mombasa in an undisclosed meeting. The meeting was held just weeks after Odinga lost the elections in the African Union seat. Speaking to a crowd, Ruto insisted that during the meeting they agreed to move forward as the election period was over.Raila announced that he will soon reveal his next move after meeting several leaders.

Former deputy president Gachagua has now refuted the meeting and claimed the coalition will yield nothing at the end. “We don’t understand Raila Odinga. If he decides to soil the legacy that he has built over the years by supporting President William Ruto, that’s his right. We can’t stop him.He would have lost his votes in Kisii, Mt. Kenya region. So he is not going to be of much benefit to William Ruto,” he added.

He continued to say that Ruto has been rejected everywhere in Kenya. “He’s been deserted by everyone. The church that had been initially supporting him has withdrawn its support. People of Mt. Kenya, people with payslips, and the Gen Zs have abandoned him,” he concluded.
