Raila Odinga Works On His Resolve, Boards Matatu To Work

Azimio La Umoja party leader Raila Odinga has excited netizens after boarding a public service vehicle (PSV) to work, after he resolved to call on Kenyans to reduce fuel consumption due to the high rise in costs.

The Former minister walked a distance from his home before reaching the bus stage, where he interacted with passersby and onlookers who encouraged him to continue with his efforts to keep the government in check through various activities.

The ODM chief, while in the matatu, interacted with the passengers who got the chance to meet the former Prime Minister, as others took selfies and exchanged pleasantries to capture the moment.

In his speech on Tuesday, June 27, in Kamukunji grounds , Odinga called on the citizens to minimize fuel consumption and reduce taxes by shunning luxurious vehicles and walking whenever necessary, in a bid to deny the government revenue because of its neglect of its citizens.

“Cut down on non-essential travel. Walk instead of driving whenever possible. I appeal to all employers to allow their workers time to walk to and from work.  Let us deny Ruto the fuel tax by limiting the consumption of petrol and diesel; one way to do this is to carpool,” said Odinga.
