The acting president of Kenya, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has went ahead to congratulate all leaders chosen in the 9th August election but failed to honor president elect William Ruto anywhere in his speech.
Uhuru who ditched his deputy Ruto to become strong supporter of ODM leader, Raila Odinga seems to not have come into terms with the verdict of the court.
Although he promised to respect the decision of the Supreme Court when he took the oath of office and pledged to uphold the rule of the law and the decisions made by the judiciary on all matters pertaining his governance.
Speaking on handing over powers, the president, explained that the process is underway and the committee is working on it.
His excellency concluded by thanking all Kenyans, political parties and presidential candidates for holding peaceful elections and later congratulated all winners of the election not mentioning William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
“I want to wish you well, all who have won as they guide our country into the future. ” He said.
