President Ruto Oders Interior CS Kithure Kindiki To Move To Rift Valley To Curb The Ongoing Insecurity Issues

President William Ruto has revealed that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has relocated from Nairobi to the insecurity-afflicted North Rift region to restore security.

In his speech today Sunday, 12 February,2023 during a thanksgiving service in Nakuru County, Ruto told congregants that he had ordered Prof Kindiki out of his Nairobi office to the region, where he is to live while helping to contain the situation.

“CS Kindiki is not here today because he was in Baringo today. He was in Turkana yesterday. I have told him to leave his office in Nairobi to go and live in the North Rift until the banditry comes to an end,” said Ruto.

Ruto affirmed that his government has extended strategies to fight banditry and ensure that there are no casualties from the bandit attacks anymore.

“We have put in place all measures we can in our capacity as the government. We will deal with those few proud individuals and make sure no Kenyan loses their life to them,” said the Head of State.

Reports reveal that three people were on Thursday killed and one critically injured in an attack by bandits guised as bystanders at Kakong area in Turkana South.
