Famous pastor Ezekiel Odero of Newlife International Church Prayer and Centre has urged men never to risk marrying women who never rise early from their beds. Based on the pastor’s teachings, a man who finds a wife who sleeps excessively has made a wrong choice.
In a video captured during a service in his church, the man of God claimed that the wife materials should be first to wake up before men, to attend to and gratify the unendless needs of their family including children and husband.
“A woman who sleeps even after her husband has woken up is not a good woman because a man shouldn’t wake up before his wife. This is because the woman is supposed to be the light of the family. She should be the first one to wake up and prepare kids for school, do house chores, and even prepare breakfast for her husband.” He said.
Deeply rooting his arguments in line with the verse in the bible, the preacher referred to the woman noted by King Solomon; the author of the book of ‘Proverbs 31:10-20’, whose worth is credited to be worth more than expensive rubies due to her virtue of rising early.
“The Bible says a wise woman wakes up early in the morning and she is a precious stone to her husband,” he added.
This sparked diverse viewpoints, with the majority claiming he is biblically right while his critics insisted that responsibility calls for every member of the family to wake up so early to pursue life dreams.
