Omondi Vs Kanjo: Eric Omondi Slams Nairobi City Councils for Mishandling Entrepreneurs

Comic-turned-philanthropist Eric Omondi has boldly intervened to address the growing number of reports of Nairobi City Councils, also known as Kanjos, mistreating local business owners.

In a video shared on his social media accounts, Omondi coincidentally caught the Kanjos in the act of harassing business owners in the unidentified street of Nairobi. Stepping off his ride, he went up to the belligerent Kanjos and asked them what was wrong. Upon encountering the comedian, the Kanjos departed and left him lamenting with a few of the entrepreneurs.

Omondi spotted two middle-aged women wailing loudly while they lay on the ground. Clearly traumatized, one of the women was unable to speak. As the other woman attempted to explain the entire incident, she was unable to control herself.

After asking around, the spectators told the comedian that the Kanjos were abusing them on a regular basis. The comedian immediately shared the uncut video on his social media accounts after the tragic encounter. He summoned Johnson Sakaja, the governor of Nairobi, and pleaded with him to intervene and see that the impacted parties received compensation.

Omondi became enraged over the matter at hand because he had seen one of the Kanjos treat a woman badly. Aware of the challenging economic times, the comedian observed that the victims are merely attempting to support themselves through their work, and that the Kanjos are causing them unnecessary suffering.

“JOHNSON SAKAJA!!! TODAY I CAUGHT THEM IN THE ACT!!! SOOO BRUTAL!!! I SAW A MAN LIFT UP A WOMAN AND DROP THEM!!! This are our Brothers and Sisters STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. OUR TIME IS COMING!!!”, the Facebook post read.
