ODM Dismisses Wiper Over Raila Resignation Demands

The Wiper party has received criticism from the Orange Democratic Party ODM for its most recent demands that Raila Odinga cede control of the opposition to Kalonzo Musyoka.

The Raila-led party is not prepared for any discussions about the 2027 General Elections, according to a statement made on January 2 by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

“The campaign season recently came to a conclusion. A few months have passed since the new term of the current administration began. The general elections in 2027 are still too far off, he remarked.

The ODM party is now concentrating on how to fight for Kenyan citizens’ needs. ODM will refrain from speaking about the 2027 presidential candidate for the time being. He Added.

On December 31, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to pass over the opposition leadership to Kalonzo and support him before the 2027 election.

We need ample time to make our candidate well-known, travel to as many locations as possible, and make sure that Kenyans start to become comfortable with the notion of a Kalonzo presidency.

“I think that Kalonzo’s generosity has benefited Raila, the ODM’s Nyanza backyard, and other strongholds. It is only right that they pay it forward in January.” stated Wambua.

However, former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana advised Kalonzo to leave Azimio or retire from politics because Raila might run for office once more in 2027.

Raila Odinga is not planning to stop working. He will entrench his forces. Would Kalonzo receive support from Baba’s voters even if he were to say SKM tosha? Without careful planning, Kambas won’t be freed until SKM makes a political change. On January 1, the previous governor said.

In a recent interview, Raila said that while he is not yet prepared to leave the political scene, he will do so when the time is perfect.

“When the time comes for me to leave politics, I will gracefully leave the podium. There shouldn’t be any debate on that subject. Reforming this nation’s politics should be our main priority right now, according to Raila, in order for democracy to flourish.
