Munavu, The Head Of CBC Team, Is given A New Position Under Ruto’s New Appointments

Raphael Munavu has once more been appointed by President William Ruto to a significant official position.

The Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms is led by Munavu, whose mandate is set to expire this month. According to a gazette notice, Munavu will assume the new role on March 10.

“Raphael Munavu to be the Chairperson of the Board of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority, for a period of three (3) years,” the notice reads.

Ruto previously disclosed that Munavu served as the principal of Chiromo School while he attended the University of Nairobi. Throughout the following three years, Munavu will collaborate with the newly appointed board members.

Eliud Owalo, the ICT CS, has also named five individuals to the board of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority. The notification identifies them as Pacifica Chepkosgei, Philip Nyakwaka Olero, Samuel Kariuki Maina, Bertha Denna, and Charles Kilonzo.

Munavu and the other 48 members of the CBC team will have finished their six-month mission before the end of March. Raphael Munavu’s team is anticipated to go into further detail on CBC on how the major principles of the curriculum should be applied.

The Gazette notice stated that the competency-based approach’s implementation included but was not limited to value-based education, community service learning, parental empowerment, and involvement.

The team will also assess the standards of CBC, quality assurance, and learner assessment.

Ruto also instructed the team to investigate teacher placement and training.
