Moi University in Eldoret has announced plans to auction livestock and a vehicle, inviting members of the public to view the items starting tomorrow (Friday) through Monday, ahead of the public auction scheduled for June 24, 2025.
In a notice issued by Vice Chancellor Prof. Kiplagat Kotut, the auction will be conducted at the farmyard of the main campus in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County. The sale includes a diverse range of animals and a Toyota Hilux vehicle.
The livestock on offer includes bulls and bull calves priced between Ksh. 50,000 and Ksh. 70,000 each. German Shepherd dogs will be available for Ksh. 40,000 each, while donkeys are priced between Ksh. 9,000 and Ksh. 15,000. Pigs are the most affordable, with prices ranging from Ksh. 3,500 to Ksh. 7,000 each.
In addition to the animals, a Toyota Hilux vehicle will be auctioned at Ksh. 350,000.
The auction presents a unique opportunity for farmers, dog enthusiasts, and car buyers alike. Interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of the viewing period to inspect the items before placing their bids.
