Roads and Transport CS nominee Kipchumba Murkomen has promised to ensure policy is put in place to construct an airstrip in every county in Kenya.
Murkomen said this when appeared before the National Assembly committee for vetting after being appointed by President William Ruto to head the roads docket.
According to him, this will ease accessibility and travel into every county by air.
“ I will ensure that every county has an air strip to ease accessibility to each county.’’ He said.
The Senator who represented Elgeyo Marakwet until appointment also stated that he will introduce a raft of measures including doing away with traffic police in the roads and introduce e- police to increase revenue and combat corruption in the sector.
