Kenyans have taken to the streets in major Kenyan towns to protest the controversial finance bill which aims to generate additional revenue through tax hikes on various sectors.
The protests have spread beyond Nairobi, with demonstrations reported in Eldoret, Kisii, Nyeri, Nakuru, and Kisumu.
In Nairobi, hundreds of anti-Finance Bill protesters have congregated on Kenyatta Avenue, clashing with police and displaying cartridges from bullets.
MPs have also shown solidarity with the protesters, vowing to join them in their stand against the Bill.
In Kisumu, protests have escalated dangerously, resulting in injuries to two women during demonstrations. The situation remains tense as Kenyans voice their opposition to the punitive taxes proposed in the Finance Bill.
