Kenyans Seek Freedom For Diana Chepkemoi, Politicians Promise To Aid In Bringing Her Back Home From Saudi Arabia

The family of Diana Chepkemoi earlier today called upon the government to assist in bringing their daughter home from Saudi Arabia.

According to the family, Chepkemoi was a Meru University student before going to work for a Saudi Arabian woman as an househelp.

While there, Diana fell sick and despite her condition, employer who won’t let her go, demands the girl to pay 250k which she gave the agent for her to be allowed to live in the country plus 45k air ticket since she hasn’t finished the agreed contract.

Finally after Kenyans have pushed by pleading to the government and the embassy at Riyadh to intervene, former Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko via twitter post has pledged to get Diana back home.

“Thanks for tagging me I can assure you we will rescue her situation by the end of the day,” Sonko wrote.

Aside from Sonko, Kimilili M.P elect, Didmus Barasa also assured to help by paying air ticket to Kenya.

“I am willing to pay for her air ticket. Fred Matiang’i Kenya Airways or anybody who can facilitate get in touch with me.” He said.
