Kate Actress And Director Phil Issue An Official Statement On A Major Transition In Their Marriage

Renown Kenyan actress and influencer Kate Actress and her hubby Director Phillip Karanja, alias Phil have jointly announced the end of their marriage.

Via their Instagram stories, the former lovebirds issued a joint statement on Tuesday marking the end of their union after almost six years of their marriage. According to the post, the duo confirmed to have put a full stop to their marriage for a while back but opted to keep the information private. They urged their fans to respect their decision and offer their family a room for privacy as they embark on their new journey.

“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children. Signed Kate and Phil,” the statement read.

Reacting to the statement, Director Phil affirmed that despite their separation, they will continue to be mutual friends, co-parents and business partners. He asked their fans to give them room to digest their personal issues in order to proceed with their life.

“Hii ni Mambo ya watu wawili, but allow us to add you to the group chat kidogo, so we can proceed with our lives bila story mob. @kate_actress and I remain as friends, co-parents and business partners,” Phil reacted.

Before the former couple came out to announce their fallout, there have been speculations of their split for over four months. At one point, netizens noted that Kate had deleted some of the Director’s snaps on her Instagram account. However, she later dispelled the rumor through a family video which showcased them as a happy family.

The pair shares a daughter and a teenage son to whom Kate bore in her previous relationship. The separation will be a major blow to young couples and fans who took them as an inspiration. This is because the family have been serving their fans with family and couple goals on social media.
