Award-winning artist Kevin Kioko alias Bahati has once more suffered a thorough hit after YouTube pulled down his new track over copyright infringment claims.
YouTube deleted the artist’s song dubbed as “Huyu” after Tanzanian upcoming artist and producer, Genius Jini X66 reported the track over copyright infringement. According to the producer, Bahati had copied his beats in the new song.
He claimed that this is the second time Kenyan artists were copying his intellectual work and the act wasn’t fair. On his part, Bahati should have considered approaching him for a business deal instead of duplicating his intellectual work without consent.
Taking to his Instagram, Bahati affirmed that the act was malicious considering that his song was the second on YouTube’s trending list. As the artist lamented on facing another setback from Tanzanians, he wondered who Genius Jini X66 was.
“Another attack from Tanzania… who is genius Jini x66??? he maliciously deleted my song #huyu from YouTube no.2 on trending,” Bahati wrote.
This marks the second time that Bahati is facing a blow after one of his collabo song dubbed as “Diana” was also taken down by YouTube months ago.
