Jeff Mwathi’s Mother Wants Fresh Investigations Of Her Son’s Death

The death of Jeff Mwathi is still lingering in people’s mind as they continue to ask the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to deliver justice to the family. Ann Mwathi, the mother of the young interior decorator, has spoken to the media few days after the DCI detectives gave out their final findings on Mwathi’s murder investigation.

In an exclusive interview with bloggers, Ann lamented on the DCI not delivering justice to her son. According to her, the detectives based their decision on the fact that the media was covering the whole situation. She noted that the detectives indicated that she was believing the media’s reports more than the theirs.

Ann affirmed that Mwathi was murdered and nothing can change the fact that his killers are roaming around freely. She insisted that her son died in the hands of someone he trusted the most as he sounded excited moments before visiting DJ Fatxo. In addition, she wondered whether the DJ and his allies are above the law since they haven’t been detained yet Pastors Ezekiel and Mackenzie were arrested after an alleged massacre.

Mwathi’s mother also wondered why the detectives didn’t siege and do a thorough investigation in Fatxo’s house moments after her son’s death. For this matter, she blamed them for their recklessness in the investigation.

The angry mother also questioned why the detectives had to exhume her son’s body yet they knew they had already being “bought” to cover up the investigation. According to her, they could have interrogated everyone who was present at the time of Mwathi’s death.

“I am hurt. They had me exhume my son’s body and then reported that there was no evidence. That was wrong. I want justice for my son,” Ann said.

Ann’s remarks comes in days after the DCI detectives declared that Mwathi was not killed. However, they failed to determine the motive of the young interior decorator commiting suicide as they claimed.
