19-more bodies were Exhumed on Tuesday, 13th June, marking the highest number of bodies staked out in the exercise since the third phase started. This has raised the death toll to 303.
According to reports issued by the authority, there was no any rescue made on Tuesday breaking the norm. The third phase of exhumation, on Tuesday, entered its second week.
Autopsies that have been conducted, since the exercise began at the mass graves in Shakahola forest, have revealed that some of the victims were strangled to death, some hit on their heads with blunt objects while starvation remaining to be the strategy used to kill majority of the victims.
At the moment, the number of individuals reported to be missing has also risen to 613.
