Former power couple, Philip Karanja alias Director Phil and Catherine Kamau aka Kate Actress, have released a joint statement clearing the air on the ongoing rumours about the director forcefully selling a BMW X3 which he had previously gifted his wife.
Phil gifted the mother of his daughter the German machine during her birthday in January 2020. The gift came barely two months after the ex-couple welcomed their daughter, Njeri.
In the recent speculations, the director was accused of selling off the machine after they parted ways last year. He promptly reacted to the rumours claiming that the car was sold after they came into a consensus with his ex-wife. Phil opposed any negative information circulating in the social media adding that there is no dispute between him and the actress.
“I acknowledge that blogs are to be sold, and you had your fun. I wish to officially document that the vehicle was sold with mutual consent, and there are no disputes with Kate, contrary to any portrayals suggesting otherwise,” the instastory read.
On the other hand, the award-winning actress shared a screengrab of the director’s post as she seconded his statement. He scoffed at the naysayers who were only disseminating fake information.
