Kenyans requesting the certificate of good conduct, also known as the police clearance certificate, won’t need to schedule a fingerprinting appointment, according to DCI.
As of Tuesday, the portal’s booking area had been removed, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. Please take note that scheduling a fingerprinting appointment is no longer necessary when applying for the PCC (formerly Good Conduct),” the DCI stated.
The C24 printed copies, payment vouchers, and original national identity cards of applicants should be brought to their nearby fingerprinting centers. The eCitizen portal offers a C24 form that requires fingerprinting and may be downloaded.
For PCC applicants who want to get their fingerprints taken, the Directorate office will still be open from 7 am to 3 pm. Only those within the center are fed after 3 o’clock, according to DCI. In order to avoid lengthy lines at the headquarters, it urged city residents to seek the assistance at the Huduma Centers.
The certificate gets removed from your eCitizen account after six months, according to the statement that followed.
In addition, DCI recommended candidates who wanted to utilize the certificate for a longer time to download and preserve printed copies in order to prevent future difficulties. To provide the service with “dedication, care, and integrity,” the Directorate pledged.
