Church Caretaker Takes Off With 1.5 Million Raised For Church Construction By Congregants

A caretaker of the Kangemi’s ACK All Saints Mountain View Church, George Mburu has been reported to have made away with 1.5 Million meant for church developments that was fundraised on Sunday 9 October,2022.

He is suspected to have tampered with the church’s electric power to disable the installed CCTV system before making away with the congregants’ contributions.The trusted custodian of the parish who resided within the church compound immediately went into hiding following the incident.

According to DCI,detectives based at Kangemi police station in Dagoretti sub county, have launched a manhunt for the suspect after the bizarre incident that has left the clergy and congregants of Kangemi’s ACK All Saints Mountain View Church in utter dismay, the money they raised on Sunday 9 October,2022 for development of the church disappeared from a drawer at the Church’s altar.

“When the church elder John Wainanin aand treasurer Elizabeth Njoki, went to the church to collect the money on Monday morning, they found the doors ajar, which was unusual. A closer look at the Lord’s table where bread and wine are consecrated, they were shocked to find it ransacked and the money that had been kept ina drawer beneath the altar missing! “Read a statement by the DCI.

The incident left the members of church in dismay as some pronounced curses at the suspected church caretaker while others asked for his forgiveness if at all he will resurface and repent.
