Boomplay Announces New Competition To Promote Upcoming Artists

Boomplay ,a music streaming and download service in Africa has partnered with Kenyan music production studio, Supadrum, to run a competition that is set to kick off from September 2022 till December 2022 when winners will be announced.

Boomplay has invited emerging artists across Kenya to showcase their talents and stand a chance to win Ksh. 500000,the amount put in place for the winner in the upcoming competition. The initiative labelled as ‘Booming on Boomplay’ will also enable upcoming artists to walk away with additional cash prizes,billboard featuring, in-app and digital placements to expand their publicity.

Additionally,the winners will enjoy privileges like having 40 hours of studio time and music masterclass which will feature prominent producers and music executives, covering important and relative sections for instance production,music marketing and distribution.

Besides, winners will have 40 hours of studio time and a music masterclass featuring top producers, engineers and music executives. The masterclass will cover topics such as production, distribution, publishing, music marketing and business in bid to empower their musical careers.

“The competition seeks to provide a platform to support the growth and development of upcoming artists in a bid to unearth talents in the country. This campaign aligns with our vision to empower the African music ecosystem and help unlock its full potential.” Boomplay’ East Africa Managing Director,Martha Huro mentioned in a press statement.
