3 Suspects Arrested for Hurling Shoe at Ruto Released Without Charge

The three suspects arrested for throwing shoe at President William Ruto during his Kehancha, Migori visit, on Sunday have been released without charges a day after their arrest.

Upon doing thorough investigations, the police have reported that their findings revealed the action to throw shoe at president Ruto was not intentional and they had no intent to harm the Head-of-State.

Yesterday following the arrest of the three suspects, one officer based in Kehancha police station explained that investigations were ongoing and that more suspects are being pursued, to be brought on board. The preliminary findings, however, suggested that the incident may had been politically motivated and planned ahead of the President’s visit.

Despite promising to that the authorities are working so closely to narrow down their investigation to a key suspect, the latest reports have now emerged revealing that the suspects are now freed, found not guilty of the incident.
