Kenya now seeks to take strides ahead in the mining sector, aiming to make the sector a chief cornerstone in the journey to transform her economy.
At the Kenya Mining Investment Conference and Expo 2024, a 2-day event that kicked off on Tuesday November 26, positioning mining to bolster Kenya’s economy has been made an agenda.

CS Mining Ali Hassan Joho, commenting after leading the opening of the inaugural two-day conference in Nairobi on Tuesday, said the event, brings together diverse brains from various stakeholders, ranging from policymakers and investors to esteemed academicians, community leaders and international partners.
“I am confident that this meeting will serve as a vibrant platform for rich and productive discussions, where we will explore innovative possibilities, tackle challenges head-on and forge a bold path towards a future where mining significantly contributes to Kenya’s GDP, empowers local communities and ensures the protection of our precious environment,” a part of his social post read
