Award winning actress Jackie Matubia has opened up on breakup with her baby daddy Blessings Lungaho, revealing she never had a dream to tie a knot with Mr. Lungaho. Matubia stated that she made her stance on marriage clearly before starting the journey to date her baby daddy.
“My first marriage was real, and I remember telling Blessing that I didn’t want marriage, didn’t want to walk down the aisle,” she stated in her most recent interview.

Despite discussing her twists and turns with the absence of Lungaho, in a 2023 interview with Dr. Ofweneke, Matubia insisted that she made the right decision to separate ways with Lungaho, maintaining that it was the perfect decision even for her daughter Zendaya.
However, she revealed making numerous attempts to convince Mr Lungaho to be present in their baby’s life despite her efforts proving so futile.
“God knows I fought for the dad to be in the daughter’s life. But he did not. And you cannot force a man. I tried… And was like I can only do much,” she said.
Jackie admitted that she harboured resentment, even toward her daughter at times, because of the feelings of failure and disappointment.
“Mi nilikuwa nimezoea kusaidiwa na my other baby daddy… Sasa huyu ni kila kitu. And when I say kila kitu I mean even the love, care, assurance, protection was coming from just one parent. And I told myself am done proving myself to people who don’t know me.”
