The latest case on femicide has hit the country again, following the death of Radio 47 radio personality, Lilian Achieng Aluko, whose body was found lying lifeless inside her boyfriend’s house, on Friday November 1, 2024.
The matter has called instant reaction from the Police officers in Kahawa West, Kiambu County, who have already launched an investigation on what could lead to the demise of the 33-year-old lady.
Confirming the incident, the Police have revealed initiating a manhunt to Lilian’s boyfriend, who is the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the radio presenter. A police report has revealed that, Lilian’s body, was found lying lifeless on the floor inside her boyfriend’s house with bruises of injuries all over her face and a stab wound at the back.

The report also indicated that Lilian, alongside her boyfriend, attended a night club show before they had a violent exchange when they returned back in the house late in the night. Attempts by the neighbours to break in and intervene, however, proved futile and the door which was locked from inside totally denied them access.
Her family, who called upon the authorities to investigate thoroughly into the matter, revealed that their last communication with Lilian was on Thursday, October 31 where she told the family members that she would be spending a night at her boyfriend’s place.
Recalling her last conversation with her daughter, Lilian’s mother said she learnt about the demise of her daughter, when she received a call from unknown number who confirmed the to her, Lilian’s death.
“She left at around 11 am and told me she went to her friend. She did not return. On Friday, minutes to 9, I received a call from an unknown number (informing her of her demise).”
Lilian’s brutal murdering comes at a time when H.E President William Ruto took to the public, cautioning women across the country to be careful with strange men luring them to situations that compromise their security.

“I want to ask Kenyans to be careful with people, particularly strangers who lure girls and women to situations that compromise their security. We must be on the lookout as a nation, this is yet another moment, another beginning,” warned the President
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the Deputy President Prof Kithure Kindiki, on Friday November 1, the Head of State confirmed State’s awareness on the rising cases of femicide countrywide, calling on the Security agencies to stand up to the doers of such crimes.
“I know that recently, we have seen incidents of our girls, our mothers, and women who have been murdered in cold blood. Let me say this, the DCI and all the investigative authorities in Kenya must stand up to these criminals,” the Head of state directed
