Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has lamented after claiming that he was removed from the State House WhatsApp group, which contains the diary of President William Ruto’s events.
In an interview on Citizen TV, hosted by Sam Gituku, Gachagua, the second in command, stated that he was removed from the group in an effort to undermine him and his office, despite his willingness to support the President in delivering his agenda to Kenyans.
He made this statement in response to a question from Sam regarding his absence at the President’s meeting in Nyeri, where the President was in attendance, and the Deputy President’s seat was left unoccupied.
“There is mischief in removing me from the Presidential diary so that when I don’t attend Presidential events, it can be alleged that I am absconding my duties. I want to ask those working around the Presidency not to create conflict between the President and me,” stated Rigathi Gachagua.
Despite Gachagua’s statement, sources have also intimated that he is unaware the President is set to travel to New York.
