Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has set up a National Steering Committee to guide reforms in the National Police Service, Kenya Prisons Service, and National Youth Service.

According to credible sources, these reforms were recommended by a taskforce led by former Chief Justice David Maraga.

The committee, chaired by Interior PS Raymond Omollo, includes officials from key ministries and agencies like the Treasury, Police Service, and Public Service.

They will focus on improving working conditions for officers, ensuring they have the resources to do their jobs effectively. The committee will operate for three years and can form sub-committees for better efficiency.
