Kenya Airways has announced that it has diverted a number of its flights due to heavy rains and poor visibility in Nairobi.
According to a statement released by the airline, this action will result in delays in departures in Nairobi.
The airline further called on citizens to exercise caution, as the airline has taken the necessary steps to divert their airlines to safeguard the health and well-being of their staff and crew.
“Due to heavy rains and poor visibility in Nairobi, we have diverted a number of our flights and, as a result, may have extended delays for some of our departures out of Nairobi. The safety and well-being of our customers is our number one priority,” said KQ in a statement.
This comes as Jomo Kenyatta International Airport experiences leakage affecting terminals, despite the promises made by the Minister of Transport, Kipchumba Murkomen.
The leakages were experienced in Terminal 1C, halting all the operations in the station airport at a standstill.
