Media personality, Aunt Jemima, working at Gukena FM has found herself battling with men over social media following her negative sentiments that men are no longer romantic.
The radio presenter has since faced very harsh reactions from men for her comments made on air. A section of her fan base has gone further to inquire if she nearly got her heart hurt, but Aunt Jemima denied it.
Instead, she defensively excused herself saying she was prompted to make such comments upon receiving bulky complaints from society.
“No nobody hurt me, it’s just that when you are a comedian, you are very observant You hear people talking out there, so my comments are just to pass on the message to just try and be romantic, kidogo tu.” She responded to a question during an engaging interview with Jeff Kuria on his YouTube channel.
Surprisingly, the radio presenter’s comments sparked diverse sharp reactions when were directed to Kikuyu men. However, Aunt Jemima still defended her on-air comments, even revealing why she aimed her arrows at Kikuyu men.
“Women we love these small gestures, like flowers, when you need to apologize come with flowers in the evening it’s sorry enough, but you know Kikuyu guys tell you ‘let’s leave it at that,’ that’s not an apology.” She added.
Nevertheless, Jeff came out in defense of Kikuyu men saying they have very unique way of apologizing to their women, giving an elaborative instance of, a Kikuyu man being able to give money to his wife to go and have some nice shopping.
“You see I can call you and tell you to go to the market and buy a chicken we eat for dinner.” He challenged Aunt Jemima.
Aunt Jemimah reactively laughed it off, trashing what Jeff means by saying giving a woman money for shopping is a way of apologizing.
She said:
“Ati a chicken is an apology? No, no way. Small gestures. Come hide chocolate in my pillow, let’s go out, spend time on weekends.”
