Ababu Namwamba, the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, met with Meg Whitman, the US Ambassador to Kenya, to explore enhancing cooperation on promoting Kenya’s music sector.
Namwamba stressed the need to improve the relationship between the US and the country on innovative principles.
“We are eager to increase bilateral cooperation between the US and Kenya in the development of the creative industries and sports as key economic pillars. Partnership is essential in the music and film industries, according to Namwamba.The CS claimed that by working together, Kenya’s creative industry will get access to US knowledge in the music industry.
“Partnerships and collaboration are what will revolutionize the sports and the creative space in Kenya,” he declared.
This, according to Namwamba, will assist advance the creative sector and align the ‘pesa mfukoni’ for artists with the Talanta Hela project of the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
