Televangelist pastor Ezekiel Odero has today expressed his thoughts about the period of his arrest.
This is the first time The New Life Christian Church pastor is talking about the incident that saw him detained for seven days in police custody. Ezekiel was released on May 4 on a KSh 3 million bond or KSh 1.5 million cash bail.
Speaking in Mavueni Kilifi county during the second service he is holding since his release, Odero revealed that he was worried because it was not his custom to miss Sunday services to minister to his congregants.
Odero further said his arrest was the toughest phase of his life, adding thay he was most worried that the whole complexity could potentially compromise his followers’ faiths. This is because during his detention, services had to be postponed.
Ilikuwa inanitatiza. Wasiwasi niliyokuwa nayo zaidi ilikuwa ni imani yenu,” he said.
