Flamboyant artist Esther Akoth alias Akothee, has called out people who fake their lifestyle on social media.
Taking it to her Facebook page, Akothee revealed that social media lifestyle makes people to hate someone for no reason. Although she never mentioned anyone, she asked people to keep their lifestyle real both on and off camera.
“Online lifestyle will make people hate you for nothing, just make sure you keep it real ,so you are the same person both online and offline,” she partly wrote.
She continued by lamenting how it’s heartbreaking for a person to be killed for being an online billionaire while they can’t afford to pay their bills.
“Nothing hurts like being killed of being a billionaire online and off cameras you can’t even afford to pay your own Bills. Make it until it looks fake 💪good night,” Akothee noted.
Last year, the mother of five explained how some celebrities struggle in real life but flaunt a lavish lifestyle online. She advised her followers to never be carried away by what they see online. According to her, people should live a life that suits them and at their own pace without any external pressure.
The Akothee Safaris founder also noted that she is aware of personalities who opt to live in debt in order to retain their brand and image online. In return, this pressures their fans as they try to emulate them without noting that they are living a fake lifestyle.
