Kisumu Safari Train Temporarily Halted By Kenya Railways

Safari train services to Kisumu have been temporarily suspended by Kenya Railways.

The Railways Cooperation announced the suspension of the safari train services on Thursday, citing the continuous rains as the reason for the damage to a portion of the rail tracks between Nakuru and Kisumu.

The Railways collaboration stated, “We wish to inform the general public that due to the heavy downpour that is being experienced countrywide, parts of our MGR track between Nakuru and Kisumu have been affected.”

The interim suspension, according to Kenya Railways, will occur between May 5 and 7.

A crew is on the ground and working round-the-clock to restore the track as soon as possible, according to the management of the Railways collaboration.

The management expressed their heartfelt regret for the trouble they had caused.
