Most Kenyans have been eagerly waiting for the judicial system to deliver justice to the young interior decorator, Jeff Mwathi, who allegedly committed suicide at DJ Fatxo’s apartment. Blogger Simon Mwangi Muthiora is now lamenting on the poor justice delivery after he disclosed that the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has failed to determine Mwathi’s cause of death as well as the motive to commit suicide.
Muthiora shared Mwathi’s photo in his Facebook page as he captioned it with a long statement. In the caption, the blogger revealed that on Wednesday the DCI detectives visited Mwathi’s parents in which they had a five hours conversation. He stated that the detectives indicated that they were unable to determine whether the deceased was killed or committed suicide, no motive for murderers to kill him so they assumed he committed suicide, no motive to commit suicide was established, at the time of death the said driver and cousin were in the house not in the elevator as earlier reported, Mwathi fell from the bedroom window as rooftop CCTV never captured him and the DJ’s cousin had gone for a short call when the CCTV footage captured him where Mwathi fell. As stated, the detectives said that the alleged bloody pillow was only covered by sweat.
“Detectives investigating the murder of Jeff Mwathi met with his parents yesterday for five hours. They provided their findings as follows:
They were unable to determine whether Jeff was killed or he committed suicide.
They did not find any motive behind the killing, so they “assumed” that he committed suicide.
They also stated that they could not establish why he would have chosen to commit suicide if that was indeed the case.
At the time Jeff fell, the two individuals (the driver and cousin) were inside the house, contradicting media reports that they were in the elevator.
The detectives additionally determined that Jeff fell from the bedroom window. The rooftop CCTV footage did not capture him on the roof.
The detectives told the family that the Djs cousin had gone for a short call that moment he was captured where Jeff would later fall.
From the CCTV however, the guy is just seen opening the door and peeping in and he doesn’t enter.
Questions:
The detectives were unable to explain how Jeff could have jumped and closed the window behind him since all of the windows on the side from which he fell were closed.
This prompted one of the caretakers to knock on the doors of all the houses on that side. All other tenants opened their doors except for the one in question.
The bloodied pillow in the room was said to have been stained by sweat, not blood.
In conclusion, the file is now with the DPP, who will make his findings public in the coming days. The decision on whether to charge someone or not will be made by him,” he wrote.
In another post, the blogger strongly opposed the detectives’ findings as he believes that everything is a cover up. He cautioned everyone who keeps on tagging him on posts that are meant to debate Mwathi’s death. Muthiora revealed that he knows “something” but he had given the DCIs their time to deliver justice but they failed “as expected”.
The blogger swore to fight for the young interior decorator’s justice as he stated that he will give a statement anytime soon. He also revealed that some movie production companies have decided to produce a story on Mwathi’s death.
“THE PHASE we are getting into will be both LETHAL and FATAL.
If you believe Jeff committed suicide just leave this TL ASAP! Tondu…
Alafu, please don’t tag me into those catfights and sideshows of sijui who wanted what! I am not an IDIOT
I know something! I gave our investigative apparatus time to put their act together, luckily, they have failed! They have decided to cover each other! (It was expected)
The boy you call my son was KILLED! Jeff deserved to live. I will issue a personal statement on this issue with time. I am delighted that several Productions have reached out to do a movie on Jeff Mwathi.
To Mama Jeff and family….. Watu si wajinga! #WatuSiWajinga NARUDI!,” Muthiora wrote.
As revealed by the blogger, the final findings of the investigation are now with the DPP and he is set to determine whether the alleged killers will be charged.
