Miss P has clarified the issue on why she quit music and deleted her social media handles.
The songwriter and artist has spoken in an exclusive interview with 2mbili where she claimed that being in the spotlight was becoming overwhelming and tiresome to her.
The former Saldido assignee added that a female artist goes through a lot of pressure in the music industry.
“I just realised the attention of being a celebrity is not my thing. It was so overwhelming because there is so much pressure,” Miss P said.
She also indicated that another reason for quitting is because of her religion where after deleting the social media handles she finally found peace adding that we are living in the end times and she couldn’t wish Jesus Christ to find her doing things that are contrary to God’s will.
The artist added that she is currently focusing on her spirituality and she has no plans of going back to the music industry.
Her Instagram account is currently private and no one can access her posts.
“Mashallah” hitmaker explained the challenges that female artists go through in the music industry which mainly includes sexual harassment from male colleagues and bosses.
Miss P came into the limelight after becoming the first artist to be signed by Willy Paul in Saldido International Entertainment record label.
While at Saldido records, she was featured in Pozze’s hit song ‘Liar’ which made Kenyans to label her as the Kenyan Zuchu due to her sweet voice.
The young artist later resigned from Saldido after Pozze sexually harassed her and she couldn’t bear it anymore.
