Lawrence Njuguna popularly known as DJ Fatxo has shown his willingness to co-operate with the police in the investigations of finding out who killed Geoffrey Mwathi alias Jeff.
Fatxo’s lawyer, Charles Mugane, indicated that his client will be available as well as co-operate with police in whatever they require in their investigations.
Mugane also noted that the musician has never failed to appear before the court everytime he is summoned adding that this is enough prove to show that he is co-operative.
“My client is cooperating with the ongoing investigations. He has appeared for summons since the death of Geoffrey,” Mugane implied.
Speaking with Inooro TV, the lawyer also sent a condolence message to the family of the interior decorator indicating that the incident is challenging on the accused persons too.
“To Jeff’s family, we want to send our condolences. This is a difficult matter for my client and his friends, in the end, the truth will become clear,” the lawyer added.
Mwathi reportedly died after jumping off Fatxo’s 10th apartment after the deceased spent that fateful day partying with the DJ in different clubs.
Mwathi’s uncle had earlier told the police that the deceased was found dead with his pants on the knees which meant he was assaulted before his death.
The pathologists at City Mortuary failed to determine if Mwathi had been sexually assaulted since the incident had happened 72 hours ago.
The men who are claimed to have been left with Mwathi at Fatxo’s apartment, indicated that they discovered he is dead at 9:00 a.m after Fatxo came back home and informed them of the incident outside the apartment.
The family of Mwathi has dismissed all the narratives behind the case adding that Mwathi was not suicidal.
The police are still investigating the whole incident.
