Wilson Abubakar Radido popularly known as Willy Paul now joins the list of artists such as Sauti Sol, Otile Brown and Bahati in gaining the YouTube award of the plaque Golden.
This is after the musician reached the coveted milestone of one million subscribers on his YouTube Channel.
The ‘Umeme’ hitmaker celebrated the achievement by sharing a video on his Instagram page, appreciating his fans for their continued support.
“Thank you, YouTube, for this gift. I just received my 1,000,000 subs award from YouTube. Thank you all for the love and support, and to that blogger that had doubts about my numbers, next time just ask me politely, and I’ll answer you. One love. GOLD!” said Willy Paul.
The golden plaque, which is awarded to content creators who surpass the one million subscription mark, was presented to the ‘Toto’ hitmaker and he took that chance to hit back at trollers who were criticizing the authenticity of his YouTube subscriber numbers.
“We hit a million subscribers on YouTube. The reason I’m doing this video is that a while back, some bloggers were claiming my subscribers were fake. We all know that in this country, Willy Paul is the only artist with genuine numbers. I’m Mr. Organize, and it will stay like that,” Pozze added.
Overtime, Pozze has been receiving a lot of backlash from netizens since he abandoned the production of gospel music into secular ones.
The first artists in Kenya to gain this award are Sauti Sol band, Kelvin Bahati, and Otile Brown as Willy Paul joins them.
