Wamalwa Endorsed By DAP-K Party As Party Leader

Eugene Wamalwa, a former cabinet secretary, is the next DAP-K party leader.

Following a National Executive Council meeting held at the organization’s Nairobi headquarters, Wamalwa received resounding party support. Wamalwa declared in his acceptance speech that he will run for president on a DAP-K ticket in 2027.

“Because it is against the law for Cabinet Secretaries to hold party posts, I was friends with DAP-K. I’m now content to serve as the party’s youngest and fastest-growing leader. Five MPs and 41 MCAs were elected in a single year “He said.

Former Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi will serve as the first deputy party leader following a reorganization of the party. Wamunyinyi has been in charge of the party.

The deputy party leader and Luanda MP Dick Maungu has been appointed national organizing secretary, with Bernard Masanja assuming the role of deputy secretary general. The party continues to be a member of the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition, according to Secretary General Eseli Simiyu.

He declared, “The reorganization and repositioning of DAP-K take effect immediately and the Registrar of Political Parties has been informed of the same.
