19-Year-Old Dies at KNH After Sustaining Head Injuries During the Last Azimio Protests

A teenager who sustained injuries on his head during 30th March Azimio protests dies while continuing receiving medication at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi. The boy, known as Jamleck Mwanza was reported to have had inhaled last oxygen on Monday 10, April 2023.

This comes after showing seldomly positive response to treatment. According to a doctor’s report, the late Jamleck Mwanza died from brain hemorrhage, a condition described as excessive bleeding to the brain.

Meanwhile, the family of the late Jamleck is urging politicians and the leaders to quickly solve their differences to avoid extreme aftermath, similar to what they’ve discovered on their son, whom they said they began looking for at many health facilities since April 1, only to come and find him dead in KNH

“I am saddened because he was my first born and I was working hard so that he can go to school,” said his mother.

She added:

I wish politicians would sit down and talk instead of going to the streets because Many people get hurt and some of them are children.”
