Telkom Kenya has introduced new unlimited internet packages for prepaid customers. The move is aimed at making affordable data more accessible for users with high internet consumption.
The telecom operator has launched its 4EVA Unlimited bundles, with prices starting at KES 19 for three hours of unlimited browsing. Other packages include KES 49 for 24 hours, KES 299 for seven days and KES 1,299 for 30 days, giving customers a range of options based on their usage needs.
Customers can activate the bundles by dialing *5440#, and Telkom says users will be able to purchase another package once their current bundle expires.
The new plans position Telkom more aggressively in Kenya’s competitive data market, where affordability remains a key consideration for consumers. The bundles are expected to appeal to students, remote workers, gamers, content streamers and other heavy internet users looking for uncapped data at lower prices.
However, the value of the new packages will largely depend on network coverage and service quality. Telkom continues to face challenges with inconsistent connectivity in some parts of the country, particularly outside major towns, where users have reported weaker indoor reception and uneven internet performance.
For customers in areas with strong Telkom LTE coverage, the daily and weekly unlimited packages could offer a cost-effective alternative to capped data bundles. Prospective users in areas with limited coverage are, however, encouraged to assess network reliability before relying on the service as their primary internet connection.
