Kikuyu Mugithi artist ,Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh, has shot back to Kenyan blogger, Martha Hinga, after she insinuated that he left his wife Edday Nderitu for a “better option.”
The blogger took it to her Facebook page and shared throwback photos of Samidoh and his wife as he indicated that the artist left his wife after she moulded her. According to her, Nderitu made Samidoh who he is today but he payed her back by betrayal where he sought a “better option.” In this case, a better option seems to mean Samidoh’s baby mama, Karen Nyamu.
“These pictures made me shed tears. Yaani unamould mwanaume from scratch akishaakuwa famous anatafuta “A better option”, Hinga captioned the photos.
The post may have been aimed at criticizing the artist but this was not so since Samidoh commented. In his response, he has never lived in such a house as depicted in the photos therefore dismissing the photos if his throwback house. He added that even though he sought a better option, at least his wife looks better than Hinga.
“I’ve never had such a house. Even if there is option Z, can’t you see she(Nderitu) has a better life than you? You’re just stupid??,” the artist commented.
Netizens also flooded in the comment section as most of them supported the artist’s decision. The following are some of the reactions:
Angel Muthoni Nyakinyua stated that both Samidoh and Nderitu moulded each other adding that the artist’s happiness is the key.
Felix Kihara stated that people should learn to mind their business.
Susan Maina said that love triangle is complicated.
