No Changes To Electricity Bills As Wandayi Withdraws Review Bid

Kenyan consumers will experience no changes to their electricity bills following a decision by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum. Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi officially withdrew Kenya Power’s application to review and adjust retail electricity tariffs.

Key Details of the DecisionStable Rates: Electricity tariffs remain unchanged, maintaining the existing pricing structure for all domestic and commercial users.Economic Protection: CS Wandayi noted that shelving the review protects households, businesses, and industries from potential energy cost hikes.
