Most Visited Parks & Countries with Frequent Visit to Kenya Since 2024

Kenya has welcomed millions of visitors to its National Parks and Game Reserves since the beginning of 2024, when Kenya introduced the visa-free policy. The country is well known globally for its richness in diversity of wildlife, which has turned to be persuasive for tourists from local regions and internationally to come and view.

A report by the Tourism Research Institute, shared by the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), revealed the top 10 most visited national parks and reserves in 2024 with Nairobi Mini Orphanage topping the list with 455,550 visits followed by Nairobi National Park with 431,165 visits.

Kisumu Impala Sanctuary and Lake Nakuru National Park came forth and fifth at 309,728 and 293,107 visits respectively. Nairobi Safari Walk was ranked fifth with 286,165 visits, according to the report.

Others included; Amboseli National Park (266,102), Tsavo East National Park (238,545), Hell’s Gate National Park (230,314), Kisite Marine Park (96,634) and Tsavo West National Park (89,594) sealed the tenth place.

The say goes, “numbers don’t lie,” and yes, these numbers speak volumes about the growing love for Kenya’s parks and the success of collaborative conservation efforts that the concerned bodies are making to give life to the wildlife.

“The report further states that the impressive growth of Kenya’s tourism sector in 2024 is a testament to strategic interventions and collaborative efforts by stakeholders,” read the report in part.

Meanwhile, the tourism annual report also highlighted countries that registered increased visits to Kenya after the introduction of the visa-free policy in January 2024.

“The most remarkable increase is observed in the Czech Republic, which registered an increase of 121.9% in arrivals from 4,727 in 2023 to 10,490 in 2024. The second most improved was Burundi with an increase of 57.1% in arrivals from 33,007 in 2023 to 51,865 in 2024.”

Notably, Sudan came in third with an increase of 52.6% in arrivals from 7,185 in 2023 to 10,961 in 2024.

Summarily, Kenya has become among the top countries globally that is rich with beautiful sceneries and attraction sites that every man on earth would not love to age out minus visiting.
