Kenya has welcomed millions of visitors to its National Parks and Game Reserves since the beginning of 2024, when Kenya introduced the visa-free policy. The country is well known globally for its richness in diversity of wildlife, which has turned to be persuasive for tourists from local regions and internationally to come and view.

A report by the Tourism Research Institute, shared by the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), revealed the top 10 most visited national parks and reserves in 2024 with Nairobi Mini Orphanage topping the list with 455,550 visits followed by Nairobi National Park with 431,165 visits.

The say goes, “numbers don’t lie,” and yes, these numbers speak volumes about the growing love for Kenya’s parks and the success of collaborative conservation efforts that the concerned bodies are making to give life to the wildlife.

“The report further states that the impressive growth of Kenya’s tourism sector in 2024 is a testament to strategic interventions and collaborative efforts by stakeholders,” read the report in part.

Meanwhile, the tourism annual report also highlighted countries that registered increased visits to Kenya after the introduction of the visa-free policy in January 2024.
