Kenya’s leadership in renewable energy and innovation continues to inspire! The newly launched timbuktoo #GreenTechHub at Konza Technopolis is a bold step toward empowering Africa’s youth to create scalable solutions that tackle climate change and foster inclusive growth.
This hub will serve as a catalyst for Africa’s green transition, supporting innovators to develop sustainable technologies that address climate challenges while driving economic opportunities across the continent.
“We are determined to transform our economy into a digital driven economy that enables millions of our youth to obtain gainful employment through the vast opportunities offered by the digital ecosystem. We are availing every available opportunity to ensure as many of our young people use their talents and skills for the betterment of our societies,”H.E President Dr William Ruto said while inaugurating the first Timbuktoo Green Tech Hub at Konza Technopolis which will host 20 incubators.
The hub is a joint partnership project between UNDP and the Ministry of Information, Communication and The Digital Economy and it targets to offer conducive environment for the incubation and commercialization of innovative ideas in greentech, fintech, Agritech among other areas
