Here’s The Ex Mp Who Sold 2,500 Acres Of Land To President William Ruto In A Major Deal

The former Member of Parliament who sold over 2,500 acres of land to President William Ruto is Basil Criticos, the former MP for Taveta constituency.Key Details of the Land DealThe Property: A 2,536-acre piece of land located in the Mata area of Taveta Sub-County within Taita-Taveta County.

The Transaction: According to statements from both parties, the land was acquired after Ruto helped Criticos offset a pressing loan he owed to the state-owned Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC). Criticos maintained that the land was handed over at market price as part of a clean settlement.

Current Land Use: President Ruto repurposed the property as a large-scale agricultural investment known as Kisima Farm, where his operations include livestock farming, crop growing, and raising crocodiles.
