The Capital Markets Authority- Kenya (CMA) has issued nine new licenses to financial services firms, widening Kenya’s formal investment sector with approvals covering various services including securities dealing, investment advisory, and real estate investment trust management.
Notable recipients include AKN Investments for securities dealing, Moran Capital Management and Entrust Advisory Limited for investment advisory services,
and CPF Capital and Advisory Limited, receiving dual licensing as both a REIT manager and investment
adviser.

CMA Chief Executive Shamiah Wycliffe emphasized that these licenses align with the government’s goal of enhancing the savings-to-GDP ratio by broadening
investment opportunities.
The apprOvals also include Octagon Pension Services Limited for operating various unit trust schemes, Trademax Global Markets Pty Limited as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker, and Store Poa Enterprise Limited as a money manager, contributing to increased uptake of capital market products including unit trusts and special
funds.
